Alphanumeric
Uses and displays in letters and numbers (A-Z, 0-9)
Calculator
The calculator mode allows cash register to function like a basic calculator.
Clerks
Identification of operators that can log on to the cash register using an access code, or push of a button, can be itemised/totalised in the reports.
Departments
The number of store areas that products can be allocated to. Transactions are recorded in departments and can be totalised by department.
Groups
Allows the grouping of certain departments under an overall group, title or description for ease of report analysis.
Receipt
Generates customer receipt.
Journal
A copy of each transaction kept on a separate till roll for audit purposes.
Security slot
A thin slot located on the face of a cash drawer, useful for inserting cheques or cash without opening the cash drawer.
Memory backup
Offers limited protection of memory if mains power is cut off, for a short period of time.
Numeric
Using and displaying in numbers (0-9)
PC Connection
A link to a P.C for data transfer (additional software required).
PLU
Price Look-Up - Prices stored in the cash register's memory, allowing for quicker item entry.
Post-finalisation receipt
Facility to print receipt after transaction has finished.
Reports
print of transactions completed in detail including clerk, department, group, PLU tax tables etc information.
Sentinel function
A cash-in-drawer alarm. The cash register will alert you when a predefined threshold of cash in the drawer is exceeded, signalling that it is time to empty the cash drawer. Useful for security safeguards.
Stamp
Shop indentification information.
Tax table
Facility to calculate different tax rates on different departments which will be printed in reports.
Thermal printer
A printer using heat to burn the information on the receipt. Thermal printers are extremely fast, quiet and do not require replacement ink cartridges, allows for different programmable print size.
Totaliser
Adds up all the transaction numbers made in any one session of trading.
